this rare Ready-To-Go offshore voyaging vessel

Rare Factory Hard Dodger Version - one of only 7 built by Norseman.

Very well cared for turn key Blue Water Cruiser capable of taking you and your family anywhere in the world.

If you are considering a voyage across the Atlantic or across the Pacific from the US West Coast to , say Hawaii, this is the perfect boat for the adventure. Set up with Running Backstays for safety in heavy weather,  and Staysail wire - great for running "Wing-On-Wing" down wind with the wind behind you.  Boat is equipped with High Seas SSB and PACTAR for sending and receiving email offshore, dual high-output alternators and solar panels for keeping  batteries charges (and a generator!), both AC and Heat so you can voyage most anyplace in the world in comfort.

Current survey (8/15/18) shows market value at $575,000.

Present owner (12 years) has cruised Fort Lauderdale, Abacos, Exumas, Key West, Caymans, Cartegena, Panama, Puerta Vallarta, La Paz, Cabo San Lucas, San Diego, San Francisco, Victoria BC.

Prior owners cruised her round the world and Australia.

53.5 ft on deck with 14.4 foot beam and 6.5 foot draft her mast is 73 feet over her deck (not suitable for intra-coastal.) She is one of 7 total world wide and the only one with the original factory built hard dodger.

Closest similar boats in build quality and layout would be a Hallberg Rassey or Hylas although in many respects with her FRP laminated hull and encapsulated keel, she is superior. She is the very big brother of the legendary Norseman 447 by Bob Perry and Cary Grant.

Her Wiseman marinized Mercedes diesel is of comparable strength and longevity as a Gardiner. Her Reckmann furlers, powered winches and cutter rig make her capable of single handed sailing.

Her teak decks have been removed and her deck hardware has been polished. She carries extensive tools and spares including starter and alternators (12V and 24V) a locker for dive tanks and an on board air compressor.

Forward stateroom opens to a semi-private head with telephone booth stall shower.

Aft is the crew/child quarters with over under bunks, the tool room, the main salon, galley and nav station.

Mid ship is a captains bunk and engine room.

Aft is the owner's cabin with king sized tempurpedic covered mattress with make-up station and private head with second enclosed stall shower.

AV systems include fresh Blue Tooth enabled Onkyo receiver, Samsung 40" flat screen and Blue Ray with 4 NHT speakers and Polk sub-woofer in the main cabin and 20" Westinghouse TV/DVD player in aft cabin.

Ray marine electronics with a repeater at the topside nav station.

She has a fresh windlass, a spare Bruce anchor, and 145 feet of freshly inspected and painted chain.

Webasto heating and Cruiseair air conditioning.

Equipped with both AC and DC refrigeration systems.

She is a lot of boat for her price!

Closing Remarks

Current owner purchased the boat in 2005. In 2008 the boat was cruised as far south as Puerto Vallarta and as far North as Victoria, B.C.  She was caught in a 4 day gale off the coast of Oregon where the boat kept her crew dry and comfortable throughout. In 2012 she embarked for Panama, Cartagena, Grand Cayman, Key West and Fort Lauderdale.  In 2014 she cruised the Berry Islands, Nassau, and the Exumas in the Bahamas.    She turns heads wherever she goes!
